The final prompt for Blasphemous Inktober! Penitentsona served as the final prompt, so I designed my own penitent!
-Maria, the Painted Penitent & Illustrator of the Grievous Miracle-
---A penitent woman who has descended into anonymity to avoid the Mother of Mothers confiscating her art pieces. To serve penance but continue performing her craft, Maria has dedicated herself to painting events that unfold underneath the Grievous Miracle.
---While her name is still whispered, Maria has opted to wearing a painted ceramic mask in order to hide her identity. Upon her back she carries a heavy satchel of paintings, sketches, and paint materials. In addition, she has chosen to decorate her capirote with ribbons and dried flowers. The most notable feature on it is the crown of painted ceramic flowers she wears.
---Because of her constant anxiety at the Mother of Mothers finding her pieces and sealing them away in the Gallery of Sleeping Canvases, she prefers a nomadic life.
